According to reports, the Mayor’s city, Marcelo Ebrard has written to the Colombian songstress, U2 frontman and billionaire Bill Gates to join a campaign to attract tourism back to the country. "We are facing the worst economic emergency in the recent history of Mexico City. Its results may be tragic for thousands of families whose incomes, jobs and investments are at risk," Ebrard said in the letters. Mexico City receives 12 million tourists every year, 25 percent of them foreigners loaded up with foreign currency.

Her boyfriend Antonio de la Rua revealed in an interview with a Colombian radio that the singer is preparing not one but two albums.The English version will be the first one to come out someday in June while the other one will arrive five or six months later. He also denied that Shakira and Madonna were recording together but they just frequent each other as friends.
